Medals, tokens, coins, paranumismatica for collectors
We sell and buy coins, medals, tokens, weights and scales, direct and by auction. We’ve been in this business since 1982. More than 40 years later we are still passionate about numismatics.
As promised in our June newsletter we have an online auction. Closing date is from 12 noon BST on MB110 22 July 2025 – mainly medals all series. With over 200 lots it’s a mixed bag, a sort of ‘yard sale’ with some seriously rare and gorgeous art medals. One example is the Bucolique pictured here from the mid century French medal collectors series SFAM. No SAMFs – they’ve gone but this series, all cast medals, is even rarer.
The auction has lots of British historical medals, BAMS art medals, contemporary art medals, Renaissance medals and quirky commemoratives. Also masses of French medals as made by the Monnaie de Paris including their reproductions of rare ancient Greek and Roman coins, medieval French and seal types . These are all offered at a fraction of the price you’d have to pay originally.
There is NO BUYER’S PREMIUM!!! All bids are proxy so you only pay an increment over your nearest rival or if there are no other bidders, you pay the start price.
We have added lots of fixed price items for you to buy on this website, including almost about two dozen medals on a medical theme. Search medecine in the search bar above. There are also a few listings of fixed price medals – click on the underlined following passages: updated Easter offering of medals, tickets, passes and other cool stuff – download here . Also some French and Czech fencing medals (found after attending a really interesting lecture at BAMS!) Just email us via the contact page if you’d like to buy and we’ll send you an invoice so that you can pay in the usual manner.
We’re hoping to take some time off over the summer (Granny and Grandpa stuff!) so don’t worry if we don’t respond immediately. We aim to get back to you within a week at most.
Please sign up to our newsletter for alerts about events and bookmark this site for new additions and offers. We are no longer inviting consignments for future auctions as we try to take things a little easier in the future as we retire.
