Diary of Events in 2026

Some fairs and meetings of numismatic interest – some online, many in person. Check before travelling to make sure the fairs etc are happening.

Numismatic Fairs and Study Days/Congresses 2026

  • LONDON COIN FAIR, New venue Novotel London West, One Shortlands, London W6 8DR 2 minutes from Hammersmith Stations (rail and tube) Saturday 7 February 2026 www.coinfairs.co.uk The largest independent coin fair in the UK, mainly UK dealers in all sorts of numismatic collectibles. Future dates: 6 June, 5 September and 7 November 2026
  • BNTA COINEX –  Biltmore Millennium Hotel, London W1 COINEX 2025 will be held on Friday 25h and Saturday 26th September 2025. See website bnta.net for further details.
  • TOKEN CONGRESS 2026 Northampton Hilton Hotel weekend 2-4 October 2026. A weekend with talks on all types of tokens and unofficial currencies from antiquity to the present day. Auction on Friday evening, lectures all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Token bourse on Saturday evening open only to congress attendees. Back to its usual slot, 1st weekend in October.
  • Midland Coin Fair Sunday 2nd Sunday in the month www.coinfairs.co.uk at the National Motorcycle Museum, Bickenhill, Meriden, Birmingham B92 0EJ
  • Historical Medallion Congress, Stratford Manor Hotel 11 July 2026 Full study day and bourse on commemorative and historical medals. Again note that you’ll be able to attend the Midland Coin Fair the next day,

Royal Numismatic Society (Venue: Zoom 18.00-19.00) – see their website numismatics.org for link. Meetings in person will be at the Royal Asiatic Society from autumn 2024.

British Numismatic Society 6.15pm on Zoom and in person at the Society of Antiquaries; see their website www.britnumsoc.org

Oriental Numismatic Society network of those interested in oriental coins and money – see website https://orientalnumismaticsociety.org Regular meetings at the Royal Asiatic Society in London and at the Heberden Room of the Ashmolean, Oxford.

Money and Medals Network Link to their YouTube channel with lots of talks. MMN website here Currently based at the University of Warwick, Classics Dept. it delivers both a newsletter and regular talks plus help to museums and institutions all over the UK and Northern Ireland.
