Peter Bagwell-Purefoy (1932-2009) was a numismatist, a lawyer and both secretary and treasurer to BAMS and the BAM Trust over the years. Â He also left part of his collection of medals to the society for its funds. He’d previously donated over 200 ancient Spanish coins to the British Museum (his doctoral thesis was on these). Â A friend.
