William Triggs was Mayor in 1876-7 – he was a gold & silversmith and had a business at 120 High Street.  There was a partnership between William Triggs, Francis Triggs, and Eisdon William Garwood. They were jewellers and clock / watchmakers
The partnership dissolved in 1885
This is a stock Allen & Moore medal design , made in mid Victorian times (c. 1850) a design that could be generally sold. Â It is unusual to get an example that can be attributed to the donor.
