France: Marechal Leclerc 1902-1947 North Africa, Hanoi bronze medal plaque by Georges Guiraud after Evariste Jonchere. Leclerc in battle dress standing, leaning on a stick. On the reverse Strasbourg cathedral and a tank with names of his most famous battles: Koufra, Alencon, Strasbourg, Berchesgarden, Hanoi. A Free French general in WW2 he became Marechal in 1952 after his death in a plane accident in North Africa. Bronze plaquette/medal 53 x 90mm. Mid 20th century. Rare
