Such was the demand for ancient coins at that time that the Italians obliged by reproducing bronze medallions such as this one. Â Not repro in the way that we understand it today as it’s not a deceptive forgery. Â Otho is one of the rare 12 Caesars in numismatic terms so if you were trying to complete your ‘set’ this would be one way to do it (even today!).
