France: Pierre Puget sculptor 17th century bronze medal 1972. Medallist M Lavrillier-Cossaceanu, pupil of Bourdelle and Brancusi, born in Romania, d. 1980. Puget (1620-1694) was a Baroque architect, artist and engineer., whose most famous works were made for Louis XIV’s Palais de Versailles, King’s Arsenal – Milo of Croton and Perseus and Andromeda. Reverse male figure, a cariatyd on a column. Monnaie de Paris M3814 AE 1972 63mm. EF
