Great portrait of Urs Graff ‘The Innocent Lamb” Â Daz Tultig schaff. Â Urs Graaf was a Swiss Renaissance goldsmith and metalworker, famous for making blades, and hence the legend on the reverse Graveur et Lansquenet. Â Reverse shows the Devil with a maiden whose sword is engraved Al mein Gelt verspelt (All my money spent) – a reference to a ribald social life but an abuser too. Â He is also celebrated for his woodcuts and the portrait side shows both his logo and the tools of this trades. Â Later in life he became a soldier of fortune.
