MB109362 France: Large bronze cast medal  Jean-Francois Millet (1814-1875) painter of nature and peasant life by Henri Dropsy 1966.  The original issue was 1965, a limited edition this numbered 4/150 CFO 151 (18) 110mm. High relief cast.
Dropsy’s portrait is after a charcoal drawing, Millet’s self-portrait, now hanging in the Louvre, Paris.
Reverse is a familiar Millet subject, a peasant with a full basket of produce La nature ne se livre qu’a ceux qui l’aiment.  Nature doesn’t give out except to those who love it.
