MB109349 Bronze medal in honour of Hans Memling  by C Emmet 1969  68mm.  Born in Germany near Mainz 1430, died 1494 in Bruges, Belgium.  Worked with Rogier van der Weyden in Brussels.  However he became a citizen of  Bruges and is mainly associated with the city.  The reverse is a sketch of the Donne triptych central section, now in the National Gallery, London.  It shows the Madonna and child with supporting figures lightly shown.
