Large silver medal given to workers who constructed the Eiffel Tower Tour Eiffel by Ville de Paris and Republique Francaise (Paris and the French Republic) Tour de 300 metres au Champ de Mars. Awarded to Joseph Roumier one of the engineers working on the construction of the landmark for the 1889 exhibition. On one side the river Seine personified as a nude woman with a view of the bridges and iconic monuments. On the other side, Paris personified and seated with her hammer looks back to the Eiffel Tower.
