Bishop on one side giving authority to strike to goldsmith; on the other a screw press for striking the coins and medals. Â In between, a ‘gold’ disc with mintmarks in the design.

A bronze sandwich medal with golden (gilt) middle! Â Usually found as a smaller struck bronze medal. Â This type much rarer.
