We’ve been busy in lockdown ( auctions and lots of cataloguing) but even so we’ve missed seeing you all at the usual coin fairs and congresses. So here’s an update of what is happening in the near future, and what you might have missed.
With a second national lockdown there are no coin fairs scheduled for the rest of this year, unless the Bloomsbury goes ahead on the first Saturday of December.
Coinex and September London Coin Fair were both cancelled but there may be the possibility of the LCF at the Holiday Inn being held on the first Saturday in February 2021. Much depends on how the current pandemic develops or indeed falters and ebbs.
Zoom and YouTube have provided us with many lectures (not the same as a study day or an evening in London). Check out the websites of the Royal Numismatic Society, British Numismatic Society, the Oriental Numismatic Society and the American Numismatic Society. If you’re not already a member, consider joining one or more of these societies.
So, while 2020 seems a bit of a washout for meet-ups, the diary for 2021 is rapidly filling up – London coin fairs, Coinex, FIDEM in Tokyo; see our Events page for up to date news.
