Numismatic Fairs and Study Days/Congresses
- LONDON COIN FAIR, New venue Novotel London West, One Shortlands, London W6 8DR 2 minutes from Hammersmith Stations (rail and tube) 1st February 2025 www.coinfairs.co.uk The largest independent coin fair in the UK, mainly UK dealers in all sorts of numismatic collectibles
- BNTA COINEX – Biltmore Millennium Hotel, London W1 COINEX 2025 will be held on Friday 26th and Saturday 27th September 2025. See website bnta.net for further details.
- TOKEN CONGRESS 2025 Northampton Hilton Hotel weekend 26-28 September 2025 A weekend with talks on all types of tokens and unofficial currencies from antiquity to the present day. Auction on Friday evening, lectures all day Saturday and Sunday morning. Token bourse on Saturday evening open only to congress attendees. (Yes, we know it’s clashing with Coinex this year). - Midland Coin Fair Sunday 2nd Sunday in the month www.coinfairs.co.uk at the National Motorcycle Museum, Bickenhill, Meriden, Birmingham B92 0EJ
- Historical Medallion Congress, Warwick Delta Marriott, 12 July 2025. Save the date! Full study day and bourse on commemorative and historical medals. Again note that you’ll be able to attend the Midland Coin Fair the next day, 13 July 2025. A big weekend!
- XXXVIII FIDEM Federation Internationale de la Medaille – Art Medal Congress. The next FIDEM congress will be held in the State Antique Collection (Antikensammlung) at Königsplatz, Munich, from 15th to 18th October 2025. The exhibition will be open from 15th October 2025 to 31st January 2026. Taking into consideration the venue of the congress, the optional theme for the medal exhibition is Our myths, our roots

British Museum – Silk Roads Exhibition until 23 February 2025, covering the period 500AD – 1000AD showing the myriad networks linking far east Asia and far western Europe. Not just camels and silk. Lots of interesting numismatic material not just Chinese but central Asia (not available to collect when H was a boy but now possible), Islamic, Viking even to west Ireland.
