The Renaud Society:  proclaims themselves as An International Society of Medical Professionals with an Interest in Better Health and a Passion for Wine

This medal was commissioned by the Renaud Society in 2005, the year when it was founded.  The society honours Professor Serge Renaud, father of the French paradox – why is there less heart disease in France considering how much wine is drunk there?

The medal takes the logo of the society, silhouette head in profile right of Serge Renaud and his signature below.  THE RENAUD SOCIETY.  A half border of grapes and vine leaves

Reverse:  IN VINO VERITAS: IN VINO SALUS  FOUNDED 2005

This example in base white metal with integral loop for wearing with blue riband.  53mm. diameter  Presumed to be Ron’s own example for his collection as the medal is bronze (gilt?)
