Congregation of the Children of Mary, Catholic Benedictine nunnery, building founded 1833 by nuns from Montargis, France, who fled the Revolution in 1792. One of the first purpose built Catholic monasteries after the Reformation. 1833 building replaced by one designed by Pugin 1897-1901. Mostra te Esse Matrem – Mary Immaculate on one side; radiant star and lilies on the reverse. All symbols referring to Our Lady.
