Sweden:  Bronze commemorative medal for Jenny Lind, the Swedish Nightingale (1820-1887), designed by CG Qvarnström and made by Lundgren,

Reverse: Muse of Music with lyre on top of a pedestal  on which another muse is writing 3 Dec 1847 D.12 April 1848

“Memorial of friends of the music industry in Stockholm”,  Around the reverse rim are the names of the roles Jenny Lind took, e.g. Norma, Agathe, Amina etc.

Bronze  high relief portrait.  78 mm. thick flan  See photo for condition edges slight knocks but overall VF and attractive.  Rare.
