France: Gay-Lussac scientist bronze art medal by Xenia 1979.   Joseph-Louis Gay-Lussac, 1778-1850, chemist and physicist,  so medal produced approximately 200 years after his birth.  He studied gasses and known for his discovery that water was composed of two parts hydrogen to one part oxygen.
