1924 British Empire Exhibition bronze medal depicting the Wembley Lion with the towers of the old Wembley stadium in the background.
This medal was designed with Bertram Mackennal’s fairly standard portrait of George V.  The reverse is in a more radical Art Deco style  and is by Percy Metcalfe.
This is one of only a hand-full of Art Deco medals made in the UK.    Bronze 51mm. diameter,  reference BHM 4193.
